I don’t have much experience in this area. I therefore went onto the National Ataxia facebook group page, https://www.facebook.com/groups/NAFmail/, and looked at what herbs people are talking about.
I found a couple references to Ashwagandha which is used to improve musculoskeletal function. Ashwagandha also is said to support endurance, muscle recovery and cognitive health.
Another herbal remedy mentioned was tumeric which is believed to support brain health. It is thought that turmeric encourages the growth of nerve cells believed to help those suffering from neurodegenerative conditions.
I also found references to hemp seed which has been known to be a brain food.
To each his own, I guess.
