Word of the Day – funambulist

SDC10192Today’s word is funambulist .  This word IS a tightrope walker!

Why is this exciting to me?  Well, a while ago I wrote about a word (phillumenist) which was mistakenly defined as the tightrope walker. (https://ataxiama.wordpress.com/2015/03/07/word-of-the-day-phillumenist/)

From that post: I thought this definition was quite amusing as a 4-foot wide plank through a marsh is a ‘tightrope’ to an Ataxian!  Several years ago, I walked this boardwalk on the Cape with my husband. It was en extremely harrowing experience as I held onto him for dear life!
