Word of the Day – nonevent

425081242_no_big_deal_480_answer_1_xlargeToday’s word is nonevent.  This noun refers to an insignificant occasion.

One thing this brought to mind is the fact that many of us think we are making so much more of a spectacle than we really are.  I used to constantly worry about what others thought when they saw me walk.  However, it is no big deal and to most, it is just that, NO BIG DEAL!  For instance, take a child in a piano recital.  They will be aware of every missed note they played and may get completely discouraged, yet the audience didn’t necessarily hear each little mistake, they were impressed by the overall performance.
