Today’s word is amain. This is an adverb describing going at full speed or all out.
As in the case a lot of the time with my Ataxia, once I get myself going, it’s not easy to stop. This reminds me of a time before I was actually diagnosed when I was out exploring with some friends. I started walking toward a large cavern to get a better look and lost control as I started “running” straight for the treacherous cliff. A friend grabbed me, saving my life! One of the activities that I do in my physical therapy sessions is to walk very fast in the hall but then switch quickly to slowing down. Momentum seems to be a very controlling factor in this Ataxia.
