Word of the Day – Variorum

848345506Today’s word is variorum.  Here’a new one for me.  It refers to a compilation of versions of a text by different editors. Two examples are The Bible and the works of William Shakespeare.

I realize this is not the same thing but it made me think of the different versions of Ataxia. There are several types of Ataxia.  Some are dominant, some recessive and others sporadic; some early-onset, some late-onset; some fast progressive, some slow.  There are even differences among individuals with the same type.  I have ARCA-1, which is Autosomal recessive cerebellar ataxia type 1, http://ghr.nlm.nih.gov/condition/autosomal-recessive-cerebellar-ataxia-type-1
